To encourage and develop a strong relationship between Alumni and the Institution and among the Alumni themselves.
To provide Alumni mentoring programmes for students, with a focus on technical help and career counselling.
To maintain updated and current information of all Alumni.
To assist and support the Institution in obtaining funds for development.
To facilitate and encourage Alumni to contribute towards improvement in academic infrastructure and industry interactions.
Roles And Responsibilities
President
President shall preside over the meeting of the association.
President shall have the power to allow any matter not in the agenda to be discussed in any meeting.
President shall be the authorized person in all respects of the Governing body.
VICE-PRESIDENT
The Vice-President shall preside over the meetings of the Association in the absence of the President.
The Vice-President may be assigned specific tasks and functions by the President.
SECRETARY
The Secretary shall keep the register of members, minutes of all meetings, and all other statutory records.
The Secretary can operate the basic account of the Association jointly with the Treasurer.
The Secretary should obtain the annual account statements and interim financial positions and present the same before meetings.
The Secretary shall have the power to coordinate the Association in the absence of both the President and the Vice-President.
JOINT SECRETARY
The Joint Secretary shall have all the powers of the Secretary in his/her absence.
Shall assist the Secretary in the discharge of his/her duties.
TREASURER
The Treasurer should operate the bank account of the Association jointly with the Secretary.
The Treasurer will issue receipts for contributions, admission fees, association fees, etc., and preserve copies of the receipts.
The Treasurer should obtain vouchers and cash receipts for all expenses of the Association.
The Treasurer will issue cheques for expenses authorized by the Governing Body.
The Treasurer shall record all incomes and expenses of the Association and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for discussion and adoption by the Governing Body and approval by the General Body.
The financial statement shall be forwarded to the body through the Secretary.
