Dr. J. Nirmaladevi,M.E., Ph.D PROFESSOR/HOD

Dr. J. Nirmaladevi is a seasoned academician and researcher with over 19 years of extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the domain of Computational Intelligence, Data Science, and Applied AI. She holds a Ph.D. in Speech Signal Processing from Anna University, Chennai, and is currently serving as Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) at KGiSL Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. Her research expertise spans Speech Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Assistive Technologies, with a strong focus on socially relevant and interdisciplinary applications. Dr. Nirmaladevi has guided 33 UG and PG projects and is currently supervising five Ph.D. scholars. She has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences, authored five books, secured research funding from premier agencies including ICSSR, SERB, CSIR, and TNSCST, and holds a granted patent along with several published and registered patents. An active academic leader, she has served in key roles such as Professor and Head of Department, contributed significantly to NBA, NAAC, and autonomous accreditation processes, organized numerous academic events, and received the Senior Women Educator and Researcher Award in recognition of her contributions to higher education and research.
