Dr. Divya C, Professor of English, served as the Resource Person for a Teacher Development Programme on “Strengthening Reading Skills of School Students,” conducted for government school teachers handling classes up to the 12″ standard. The session was practical and interactive, focusing on real classroom challenges and providing easy-to-implement strategies to improve students’ reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. The programme, organized through the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), also generated consultancy and contributed significantly to the professional upskilling of English teachers, while strengthening the academic outreach of KGiSL Institute of Technology.
