Recipient of the “NFED Outstanding Educator & Scholar Award”

Dr. Vetrivelan brings over 28 years of academic and research experience. He has published 50 papers in international journals and conferences, along with several papers in national journals. He has received research funding and grant-in-aid totaling ₹7 lakhs from organizations such as AICTE, ISTE, Anna University, and IEEE. He holds multiple patents and is the author of a published book as well as several textbook chapters.

Dr. Vetrivelan has received several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Educator & Scholar Award from the National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED) in 2014 and the Masters Professional Academy’s Excellence in Education Award 2025.

Industry-Focused Cyber Security Engineering Courses and Curriculum

The KiTE Institute of Technology Cyber Security Engineering Course is delivered bearing in mind that the primary objective of the program is to ensure that learners acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure that digital data is kept safe in this age of rapid technological change. To achieve this, KiTE provides its learners with classes that are not only grounded on the theory side of things but also give learners room to apply the theory in real-life scenarios.

Some of the concepts that are covered in the Industry-Focused Cyber Security Engineering Courses and Curriculum include network security, ethical hacking, cloud computing, digital privacy, malware analysis, and blockchain security.

Apart from these basic concepts, there are advanced concepts that are covered in the course, including artificial intelligence in cyber security, threat intelligence, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and incident response management.

In addition to the theoretical aspect, one can also gain practical skills by engaging in lab exercises, simulations, security assessments, capture the flag exercises, and industry projects. All these activities are aimed at honing learners' problem-solving skills as well as preparing them for any cybersecurity challenge they may face in real life.
