A Landmark Initiative at KGiSL Educational Institutions
Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare was launched on June 8th 2026 at KGiSL Educational Institutions in Coimbatore. This momentous event was graced by Dr. Ashok Bakthavathsalam, Managing Trustee of KGiSL Trust, in conjunction with Mr. YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, Malaysia, who was the Honorable Chief Guest on that occasion.
Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding was inked between KGiSL EDU and Penang STEM, thus marking an international collaboration in the area of STEM education, innovation and technology-enabled learning methods. This MOU aims to establish a framework for exchanges and cooperation between KGISL and PSSB based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit. The two parties agree to promote collaboration in the areas of STEM education, talent development, AI learning, student exchanges as well as industry-academia partnerships.
After the successful launch, some projects were demonstrated together with sharing of knowledge sessions, culminating into “Sweat & Stories,” during which the students had an opportunity to meet the world leader.
