About the Department

KiTE’s Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, established in 2008, has been envisioned as a dynamic hub where talented and driven engineers are nurtured to address real-world challenges. The department currently offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories, a vibrant research culture, and strong industry linkages.

Students gain extensive hands-on exposure across core domains such as electronics, communication systems, signal processing, embedded systems, and VLSI design. Emphasis is placed beyond rote learning, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, innovation, and ethical responsibility.

Through collaborative projects, advanced laboratory work, and experiential learning, the department enables students to explore, invent, and build impactful solutions, shaping future-ready engineers equipped to excel in an ever-evolving technological landscape.

Dr.P. Sampath, M.E,Ph.D

Dr. Sampath has over 25 years of experience in teaching and research. His expertise lies in VLSI Design and RF Circuit Design, and he is a recognized Ph.D. supervisor under Anna University, having guided several research scholars.

The department maintains a dynamic research environment, anchored by Anna University Research Centre. Faculty and students contribute significantly to cutting-edge research, collaborating across disciplines through specialized Research-Thrust Area Groups (R-TAGs) that focus on areas critical to the future of technology.
