Biography

Dr. Oorappan G M is an Associate Professor in the Department of Robotics & Automation at KGiSL Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, and a recognized Research Supervisor of Anna University. He has over 16 years of teaching and mentoring experience, complemented by industrial exposure in electrical maintenance. He received his Ph.D. from Anna University in Power Electronics and Drives for Robotics Automation, M.E. in Mechatronics from MIT Campus, Anna University, and bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. His academic career spans Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics and Automation. He has also contributed extensively to curriculum development, skill-based education, laboratory development, student mentoring, placement training and outcome-based academic activities.
