Biography

Mr. Pradeep Kumar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at KGISL Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, where he has been working since July 2016. He has completed his M.Phil. in Mathematics from Government Arts College, Coimbatore, and his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Mathematics from Chikkanna Government Arts College, Tirupur.

He has over 9 years of teaching experience in reputed engineering institutions, including VSB College of Engineering, M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering, and Sasurie College of Engineering. His core areas of interest include Operations Research, Fluid Dynamics, Graph Theory, and Real Analysis.

During his M.Phil., he carried out research on “A New Approach for Solving Transportation Problems.” His postgraduate project focused on “A Study on Modified N-Policies for the M/M/1 and M/G/1 Queues,” and his undergraduate project was on “Analysis on Inventory Control Techniques,” reflecting his strong foundation in applied mathematics and optimization techniques.

He is an accomplished author and has contributed to academic and literary works. His authored books include Optical Thermometers: Importance and Advantages over Other Thermometers (CRC Press, Taylor & Francis), Climate Crises, and Bharathi Indru Iruthal. He is a C Certificate holder in National Cadet Corps and actively contributes to institutional development through various leadership roles.

He has served as Department EMS Coordinator, Staff Club Coordinator, Infinity Club Coordinator, and NCC College PI Staff, demonstrating his commitment to academic administration and student development. His dedication to teaching, research, and extracurricular engagement highlights his comprehensive contribution to higher education.
