Biography

Dr. Karthick Kandasamy is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has completed his Ph.D. in Advanced Welding Metallurgy. He has 10 years of teaching experience and has published several research papers in various international journals in the field of Welding Technology. He has actively participated in numerous national and international seminars and conferences related to Welding and Advanced Manufacturing.

He is an ASNT Level-II certified professional in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). He has successfully guided more than 20 undergraduate projects in core Mechanical Engineering domains. He is a Life Member of the Indian Welding Society (IWS) and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

He has completed several NPTEL certification programs and various online professional certification courses to enhance his academic and technical expertise. He serves as the Convener of the MHRD–Institute Innovation Council (IIC), where he has delivered more than 10 seminars on Entrepreneurship and Startups, promoting innovation and startup culture among students.

He has also undergone industry-oriented training in Fusion 360 and Smart & Advanced Manufacturing Design and Simulation software, strengthening his expertise in modern manufacturing technologies. His research interests include Advanced Welding Processes, Welding Metallurgy, and Welding Process Optimization.
