The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the KITE-Institution’s Innovation Council, organized a Quarter I Self-Driven Activity titled “Innovation in Vehicle Development: From Concept to Commercialization” on 7 January 2026. The session was delivered by Mr. S. Mukeshwar, Surface Design Engineer at Hirotec India Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore. The talk highlighted the complete vehicle development cycle, covering conceptual design, surface modeling, prototyping, and commercialization challenges. Real-time industry practices and case examples were shared to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial application. The programme motivated students to explore innovation-driven design thinking and pursue careers in automotive product development.
