Biography

Mr. N. Rajiv Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Robotics & Automation. He completed his M.E. (CAD/CAM) with First Rank and Distinction and is pursuing his Ph.D. under Anna University. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience and 2 years of industry experience. He has consistently produced excellent academic results and mentored numerous student projects.

He has authored and co-authored 8 textbooks in areas such as Engineering Graphics, Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles, Engineering Metallurgy, and Advanced Materials. He has published international book chapters with Taylor & Francis and other reputed publishers. He has published more than 20 research papers in reputed international journals, including SCI- and Scopus-indexed journals.

His research contributions focus on Composite Materials, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Additive Manufacturing, and Emerging Technologies. His innovation contributions include 7 published patents and 1 granted patent, covering areas such as Machine Learning-based Accident Prediction, Smart Traffic Systems, Atmospheric Water Generation, Eco-friendly Composites, and Vibration-reducing Flywheel Design.

He has received several recognitions, including the “Best Book Author Award” in 2022 and the “Mahatma Gandhi Award” in 2025 for his contributions to society and education. He also serves as an IIC Ambassador, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

Serving as the UHV Cell Coordinator, he played a pivotal role in obtaining AICTE recognition for KGiSL Institute of Technology as a “Potential Nodal Centre for Universal Human Values (UHV),” significantly strengthening the institution’s commitment to value-based and holistic education.

He has organized numerous seminars, workshops, guest lectures, value-added courses, MoU collaborations, and community outreach programs. He has also completed NPTEL, Coursera, and professional certification programs in Robotics, Advanced Machining Processes, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and Training of Trainers.

He is a Life Member of ISTE, IE, and The Robotics Society.
