Biography

Mr. R. Kamalakkannan is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under Anna University, Chennai. He has completed his B.Tech. in Information Technology from Sri Sai Ranganathan Engineering College, Coimbatore, and M.E. in Computer Science from Karpagam University, Coimbatore.

He has over 15 years of teaching experience and 3 years of research experience. He has published more than 20 research papers in reputed international and national journals and conferences and has been granted over five design patents. He has actively participated in more than 30 Faculty Development Programs in various technical domains to enhance his academic and research expertise.

He has been actively involved in academic administration and institutional activities. He serves as a coordinator for the Board of Studies (BoS) and Academic Council Meeting (ACM) and has contributed to organizing institutional events.

His areas of research interest include Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, and Computer Networks. He is a lifetime member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He has also guided and motivated students to participate in national-level hackathons such as Smart India Hackathon, Honeywell Hackathon, and Tata Innovate.
