Biography

Dr. M. Seenivasan, M.E., Ph.D., is the Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a total of 38 years of professional experience, comprising 17 years in teaching and 21 years in industry. His rich blend of academic and industrial exposure enables him to effectively bridge theoretical concepts with real-world engineering applications while fostering innovation and practical problem-solving among students.

His areas of expertise include Industrial Safety, Machinability Studies and Process Optimization, and Composite Structures. He has actively guided students in academic projects, research activities, and industry-oriented problem-solving initiatives, contributing significantly to skill development and applied research.

Dr. Seenivasan has published 23 research articles in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He has also authored books and book chapters in his areas of specialization. In addition, he actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for leading peer-reviewed journals. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
