KGiSL Institute of Technology (KiTE) organized a non-stop 30-hour coding fest for school children in Coimbatore on the 29th and 30th of November under the patronage of Dr Ashok Bakhthavathsalam, MD KGiSL Trust. Around 290 participants from 33 schools and organizations such as Paypal, GUVI, Capgemini, Thoughtworks, Skava, delivered presentations on emerging trends in technology ranging from Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Internet of Things (IoT), cyber security and web development. Students demonstrated their coding knowledge and the most deserving student teams were recognized under 3 categories, Coding Champ, Smart Coder, Creative Coder based on their preparation and performance, with cash rewards and certificates.

Magician and illusionist Vignesh Prabhu performed live for the school students after the event, which was followed by the valediction ceremony and lunch.
